Are profile rigs good for beginners?

Aluminium profile rigs are perfect for beginners. They are the most flexible and can be easily upgraded from a G27 all the way to motion.

What are the common issues assembling profiles?

We have a more detailed explanation in our assembly instructions, but the main ones are:

Not using a spirit level to make sure everything is level during assembly.

T-nuts not engaging in the slot properly. Unscrew and re-screw to fix this!

Having to slide parts along other profiles. This can scratch the profiles. The CSR1 is designed to avoid this as much as possible!

Does the profile size matter?

Aluminium profiles are incredibly rigid, even 40x40. The main source of flex in any rig is the connections between profiles, brackets, sliders, and other parts. Selecting the correct brackets and profile orientations is very important in minimizing flex.

Can I use a real car seat?

Yes!

You can mount almost anything to aluminium profile and picking up a second car seat is a great way to save a few dollars on a rig.

Are profile rigs noisy?

No. All CSR1 Rigs have rubber feet and can be upgraded to sound dampen even further.

How long does it take to ship?

Our rigs are specifically designed to ship as a single box in a standard postal format. We stock locally in Sydney so major cities typically take 2-3 days.

Back orders are shipped via sea freight and will take up to an additional 12 weeks.
